Prime
Next, we apply a high-quality bonding agent or primer. This crucial step enhances the microcement's grip, ensuring a robust and durable finish that stands the test of time. In the case of floors, an additional fiber mesh layer is added to increase strength and longevity.
Apply
We begin by applying the base coats, which can vary slightly depending on use. These consist of millions of micro fibers that lock with each other to create strength, and prevent expansion and contraction. Once dry, we apply the finishing layers which add the texture and the color chosen.
Smooth
Our team then lightly sands the dried microcement layers, achieving a smooth and consistent finish. This step not only enhances the surface’s appearance but also prepares it for the final step. Depending on use, this process results in a varying thickness of between 1-3 mm.
Seal
Finally, we apply a premium sealer to protect the microcement from stains, water, weather, and wear. This ensures a long-lasting, beautiful finish that maintains the elegance and functionality of your microcement surface.
